In June 2025, Appfie had the pleasure of running four on-site workshops with RTL Group in Cologne and Luxembourg.

After an inspiring webinar on the Power Platform and Copilot Studio, dozens of RTL colleagues joined us to explore automation opportunities across the organization. Together, we mapped out a wide range of promising use cases. From finance and accounting, to HR, audit, and IT administration!

Three standout ideas have been selected and were developed in the summer of 2025 by RTL and Appfie. Exciting steps toward smarter, AI-driven automation in the fast-paced world of media!

Step 2: Scaling via training

In 2026, our Power Platform experts delivered a 20‑hour on‑site training covering Power Apps, Dataverse, Power Pages, Power Automate, and AI-driven capabilities.

This tailor‑made program for 40+ participants combined theoretical sessions with hands-on labs. While building a model-driven app for a fictitious ice cream company, participants discovered how to connect their solutions with ServiceNow, SAP, and Outlook, and how to integrate JavaScript and custom (canvas app) pages.

The participants awarded the training:

• a 4.5/5 for quality and relevance
• a 4.6/5 for the trainer’s presentation and demonstration style
• an outstanding 4.8/5 for the trainer’s level of expertise

By the end of the week, the first custom solutions were already coming to life.
